Raytek® offers highly customized process imaging systems to meet specific application requirements.  The ES100 and EC100 Process Imaging Systems are designed especially for continuous extrusion flat web processes.  These systems are being used successfully today in applications including sheet, cast film, blown film, extrusion coating, and flexible packaging lamination.
The these systems provide an advanced capability for monitoring temperature distributions of plastic sheet and cast film extrusion.  Using the MP50 Process Imager the systems can be configured in measurement sectors coinciding with each die bolt to facilitate temperature monitoring .  Temperature variations that cause polymer viscosity changes and flow disturbances can be detected as well as defects such as "wavy edges" or "edge tears".  Continuous on-line monitoring provides hard data for:
